I think this is totally unnecessary as this group only has about five folders in total and they're self explanatory, but someone recently claimed confusion about our folder system, so here's a brief explanation:
FOLDERS:
Reminder: Please do not submit art to the Featured Folder (please see explanation at the bottom of this journal entry)
REALISTIC TRADITIONAL:
If you created a realistic- looking portrait of a celebrity using traditional media (including but not limited to pencil, pastels, charcoal, pen and ink, water color, oils), and it is static (it does not move, it is not animated) it should be sent to this folder
REALISTIC DIGITAL:
If you created a realistic- looking portrait of a celebrity, and it's a static, non-animated image, using digital media (including, but not limited to, bitmap editing software such as Photoshop, Corel, Flash vector, Illustrator, Gimp, Maya) it should be sent to this folder
Interface design can go to the digital folder
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Photographs: we no longer accept photos, but may or may not permit the Photo gallery to remain
CARTOONS AND CARICATURES:
Cartoons and Caricatures - the opposite of realistic depictions of celebrities.
OTHER MEDIA:
If it does not fall into any of the categories above (media-wise, not style-wise), it should be sent here.
If, for example, you did a needlepoint stitch work pillow of Lady Gaga, that would qualify as "Other."
If you made a clay bust of movie star Liz Taylor, this would be the folder for that.
Pencil drawings, oil and acrylic paintings, and digital paintings, and vector and vexel drawings do not belong in the "Other" folder (though there are currently some present and will have to be moved).
Mixed media - for now, if your work is a combination of traditional and digital, it belongs in the "Other" gallery
Street Art - grafitti, stencil work, etc. belong in the "Other" gallery
Print designs - book and CD covers, magazine ads etc belong in the "Other" gallery
Typography (portraits made from letters or words, whether traditional or digital media) ,
Wood work, Key Chains, Shirts, Purses, Shoes
- belong in the "Other" gallery
ANIMATION / INTERACTIVE:
Any artwork of famous people that is animated or interactive- animated GIFs, Flash swf files, animated 3-d celebrity artwork, etc
FEATURED:
For any contests we may be holding, but usually reserved for art chosen at random, regardless of media (digital or traditional or other, etc). If an image is submitted here by a member, it will be declined.

By Late May 2020 This Group May Go Dormant
May 2020 Reminder.
From the group's only active admin:
When Deviant Art forces everyone to move on to the new site design by late May 2020, I may not be able to access certain admin features on this site - which means if you submit art to this group, I can't vote on it to get it into the group.
The group may become idle at that point, unless I can figure out how to get art into the group.
Deviant Art didn't make it clear in their new site design where to go to vote on art, and I looked under their FAQs and what not, and still could not find it.
I temporarily set the dA site design to their new, horrible "Eclipse" site design months ago,
Status of This Group - Voting May Slow Down
Hello all.
I started going back to school again, which is taking up more of my time. I will also be taking classes next semester, the one after, and hopefully, I will enter a two year degree program which will take up even more of my time
Additionally, DeviantArt apparently just changed their site design at some point in the last month or two - their new design is called "Eclipse," and most of its features do not work on my (old) computer or even on this new (borrowed) one.
I have limited access to this new computer (a lap top).
I was able to get the site to revert back from the Eclipse design mode to the old site design, which is why I w
